Empower Camp

Saturday 9th March 2013 at 8:30 AM  to Sunday 10th March 2013 until 5:00 PM

Location: Fairbridge Village , WA (View map)

Engineers Without Borders and Enactus have collided in an explosion of colour and magnificence to bring you Empower Camp 2013!

What: Meet like-minded people. Explore and discuss ideas around development, poverty, and social justice. Develop leadership skills. There will be workshops, sport, a movie night and great food, all in a festival-like atmosphere. The weekend is all-inclusive and covers all food, accomodation, transport and some special extras!

Where and When: Meet at 8:30am on Saturday 9th March at the Perth Belltower, Barrack St Jetty. We will travel to Fairbridge Village for Saturday evening and return to the Belltower at 5pm on Sunday 10th March.

"Why Empower Camp?", you may ask. Engineers Without Borders and Enactus focus their efforts in different sectors, yet share the philosophy of helping marginalised communities through empowerment. The idea of community empowerment will be explored futher during the camp, but we highly recommend googling it now if you're curious!

What to bring: Sleeping bag, pillowcase, towel, toiletries. Optionals: runners, bathers, clothes suitable for running or yoga.

*March 9th is election day. Please cast an early vote so that we can maximise our time to enjoy Fairbridge. If you are unable to do so, the bus will stop at a polling booth en route to Fairbridge.

The Empower Camp is an all ages event and is alcohol and drug free. By purchasing a ticket you consent to not bring or consume alcohol for the duration of the camp.

If you have any dietary requirements, allergies, or medical conditions please email the details to Rebecca Dracup ewb.uwa@gmail.com before 5th March.
